Due to its proximity to the Des Moines Metro, Adel has experienced significant residential and commercial growth over the past decade which increased demands on the city’s aging and undersized infrastructure. To address the existing and future needs of the community, Adel embarked on a detailed master planning and design process to evaluate existing infrastructure, integrate increasing regulatory requirements, and develop a cost-effective infrastructure investment and financing strategy to meet these challenges. These efforts have resulted in $50M+ of utility infrastructure investments to support the needs of the growing community, further supporting Adel’s commitment to making lives better for its citizens, businesses, and visitors.
